all starts with the song and the lyrics, paying attention to the theme, tempo and interesting audio moments.

UNSTUCK IN TIME
used to see everything glued to canvas and locked in a frame
under violet wings, in your thoughts when you sleep and you wake
time’s a treacherous thing, every moment a leaf on your vine
growing hazy and blurred, from the instant you’re crossing the line
losing focus you stand
as the maelstrom awaits
see the distances fade
as you follow the way
when you
follow the way, free yourself from your shackles tonight
when you follow the way, breaking through become unstuck in time

every choice that you make, branching out on the canvas of time

then comes the band itself.
the looks, the personality and the vibe.
looking for the cool stuff I could use.

I’ve lost the original notes regarding the input from the band, but I remember that they wanted to show: being stuck/unstuck in the time loop, space, energetic stuff, Kurt Vonnegutian stuff, archival footage of technology and something else.

based on everything, arranging the world chaos of eternity, overconsumption of coffee in a short burst, listening to the song on a loop for a long time and a soul sacrifice, the story is finally created.
the “internal” script is developed.
(unfortunately, the original “internal” script was also lost in cyberspace).

a short version of the “internal” script:
the idea was that we go inside of the time loop/space that consists of time elements.
these elements look like white cubes.
we enter each and see part of history.
and there are 4 black cubes.
we enter each and see the band members.
and then we go outside the time loop.

based on the script, the storyboards are developed and presented to the band for approval.
###
the band gives a green light.
###
the production begins.
gathering of the assets: mainly photos and videos.
proofs of concept are created.
collages are collaged.

i love to add female hands and/or eyes in one way or another to all my projects if it’s appropriate.

everything is gathered and animated in after effects.

in the very end after all the rendering we have the final music video
